Do you provide a saddle bag and pump with bike rental?

We provide a saddle bag, which includes a tyre tube, 2x tyre levers and a pump. A water bottle can be purchased for €10.00 Road bikes have two bottle cages fitted

Are helmets included?
We always recommend bringing your own helmet however we also supply Lazer Helmets in sizes Medium and Large. These must be booked in advance. If you currently use an XL or XXL helmet we highly recommended you bring it with you on holiday.

What type of pedals do the bikes have?
All bikes are supplied with traditional flat pedals free of charge.

We off the following pedals fitted for an additional charge of €5 for the rental period. Alternatively bring your own pedals and we will fit them free of charge.

Shimano SPD (Common pedal for MTB and on fitness bikes)
Look Keo (The newest version of Look pedals)
Shimano SPD-SL (Shimano’s most used race pedal)

Is my bike insured?
No, it is not. You are responsible for any damage to the bike during the rental period. We offer the possibility to get an accidental damage insurance, which covers you in case the bike is damaged.

Third party civil liability insurance is included but unless you take out any extra cover any damage to yourself and the bike will need to be covered by yourself.

On delivery of the rented items the customer must read, accept and sign the rental agreement. Security deposit is
100 Euro for each race/gravel bike

The Customer signing the rental contract must be over 18 years old. At the end of the rental period, the customer accepts the charges for any missing or broken items at market prices. The deposit will be refunded if the rented equipment is returned in the same conditions it was procured. If the missing or broken items exceed the deposit amount, the customer must settle the balance.

You are required to read our terms and conditions before signing our rental agreement these are sent out with all booking confirmations.

Can you tell me more about your Accidental Damage Insurance Policy?
Important note: If our bikes are damaged or stolen you will be charged the relevant costs.

PROTECT YOURSELF WITH OUR INSURANCE COVER.
CYCLENERJA OFFERS AN INSURANCE POLICY THAT COVERS DAMAGES TO THE BIKE THAT CAN OCCUR UNDER NORMAL USE OF THE BIKE.

The cost of the optional insurance is 1 to 7 days €20 per week for mechanical shifting or 30 euros for electronic shifting bikes and
€2 per day thereafter (with an excess of 50 euros), which covers accidental damage to the bike.
This insurance is issued individually at time of booking.

Under no circumstances does this insurance cover the theft or broken frame.

It does not cover theft, we urge you to check with your own insurance company if they cover the cost if the bike gets stolen.

It does not cover damages to the bike in the case you transport the bike in a motor vehicle.

It does not cover damages to the bike in the case that the bike is used for purposes it is not intended for.

What happens if I have a problem while I’m cycling?
The customer is responsible for any breakdowns or repairs which occur while using the bike, based on current market rates.
We DO NOT offer a call out service. In the event of a technical issue we ask you to return the bike to the cycling hub in Nerja during opening hours for repair.
We always advise cyclists to take out private bike insurance in their own country.
We strongly recommend that you have some basic bicycle maintenance knowledge.

Do I need to bring any ID to collect the bike?
Yes, you have to. It is mandatory that you present your ID or passport when collecting the bike.
