NEWSLETTER

After obtaining your specific consent, we regularly send you our newsletter or comparable information by email, to the email address entered by you.

To receive the newsletter it is sufficient to enter your email address. When you subscribe to receive our newsletter, the data entered by you is used solely for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed by mail about circumstances relevant to the service or registration (for example changes to the newsletter offering or technical matters).

For a correct registration we require a valid email address. In order to check that a registration has really been triggered by the owner of an email address, we use the “double opt-in” procedure. We log the subscription to the newsletter, the sending of a confirmation mail and the receipt of the answer requested in the confirmation mail. No further data is collected. The data is used solely for sending the newsletter and is not forwarded to third parties.

Newsletter via Klaviyo: We use the Klaviyo component to send our newsletter. Klaviyo is a service provided by the company Klaviyo Inc, Boston, USA. Your data that is stored when you register for the newsletter (email address, if applicable IP address, date and time of your registration) is transferred to a server belonging to the company Klaviyo Inc. in the USA and is stored there in compliance with the EU-US-Privacy Shield. Further information on data protection with Klaviyo can be found here. You can terminate or revoke your subscription to this newsletter and thereby your consent to the storage of your data at any time. For more details, see the confirmation mail and each individual newsletter. To completely delete your email address, please contact us.

Newsletter tracking: Our newsletters contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels that enable us to recognise whether and when an email was opened and which links in the mail were followed by the personalised recipient. We collect this data so that we can tailor our newsletters to the wishes and interests of our subscribers. The collected data is therefore used to send personalised newsletters to the respective recipients.

Newsletter consent: With reference to the use of your personal data for receiving our newsletter, you are asked for the following consent at the appropriate place: “Please confirm our terms & conditions (T&C) as well as our privacy policy”. SOCIAL MEDIA

Use of Facebook components: On our website we use components from the provider facebook.com. Facebook is a service offered by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. Each time a page of ours that is equipped with such a component is accessed, the component causes the browser you are using to download a particular view of the component from Facebook. Through this process Facebook is informed about which particular page of our internet presence you are currently visiting. If you call up our website while you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can use the information collected by the component to recognise which particular page you are visiting, and it links this information to your personal Facebook account. For example, if you click on the “like” button or enter a comment, this information is passed on to your personal user account on Facebook and stored there. In addition, the information that you visited our website is passed on to Facebook. This happens regardless of whether you click on the components. If you want to prevent Facebook from transferring and storing data about you and your behaviour on our website, you must log out of your Facebook account before visiting our website. Facebook’s privacy policy contains more detailed information, in particular on the collection and use of data by Facebook, on your related rights and setting options for protecting your privacy. In addition, there are external tools on the market which can be used to block Facebook social plugins with add-ons for all common browsers. You will find an overview of the Facebook plugins here.

Use of Facebook Custom Audiences: As part of use-based online advertising, we also use Facebook communication tools, in particular the products Custom Audiences and Website Custom Audiences. As standard, the SHA-265 procedure uses your user data to generate a non-reversible and non-personal check total (hash value), which can be transferred to Facebook for analysis and marketing purposes. The product Website Custom Audiences uses the Facebook cookie. For more information about the purpose and degree of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your setting options for protecting your privacy, see Facebook’s data protection guidelines. If you want to revoke the use of Facebook Website Custom Audiences, you can do it here.

Use of Instagram: We use the Instagram service on our website. Instagram is a service from Instagram Inc. 1601 Willow Rd, Menlo Park CA 94025, USA. Due to the integrated “Insta” button on our website, Instagram receives the information that you have called up a particular page of our internet presence. If you are logged into Instagram, Instagram can connect this visit to our website to your Instagram account and thereby link the data. The data transferred when you click the “Insta” button is stored by Instagram. We have no influence on the data that Instagram collects in this way, nor on the amount of data collected by Instagram. For more information about the purpose and degree of data collection, its processing and use as well as your related rights and setting options for protecting your privacy, see the Instagram privacy policy. To prevent Instagram from linking your visit to our website with your Instagram account, you must log out of Instagram before visiting us.

Use of Pinterest: We use the Pinterest service on this website. Pinterest is a service of Pinterest Europe Ltd (Palmerston House, 2nd Floor, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Pinterest"). A Pinterest pixel is integrated on this website. With the help of the pixel, information about the surfing behavior of website visitors can be collected, stored and analyzed in pseudonymized form. Insofar as personal data is also processed in this context, this is done on the basis of our legitimate interest in displaying personalized advertising in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. The information can be assigned to the person of the user with the help of further information that Pinterest has stored about the user, e.g. due to the ownership of an account on the social network "Pinterest". Pinterest uses an algorithm to analyze the surfing behavior and can then display targeted product recommendations as personalized advertising banners on the user's Pinterest account. Pinterest may also combine the information collected via the pixel with other information that Pinterest has collected via other websites and / or in connection with the use of the social network "Pinterest", and thus create pseudonymized usage profiles. In no case, however, can the information collected be used to personally identify visitors to this website. As far as legally required, we have obtained your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO for the processing of your data as described above. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating the pixel tracking in the "Cookie Consent Tool" integrated on this website. If applicable, data collected via the pixel may be transferred to servers of Pinterest Inc. in the USA. You can find more information about data protection at Pinterest Europe Limited here: https://policy.pinterest.com/de/privacy-policy Pinterest Tag Conversion Tracking This website uses the conversion tracking technology "Pinterest Tag" of Pinterest Europe Ltd, Palmerston House, 2nd Floor, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Pinterest"). If you have reached our website from a pin on Pinterest, we set a cookie on your computer, which interacts with a likewise implemented "tag" in the form of a JavaScript code from Pinterest. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal device. These cookies lose their validity after 180 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user is redirected from a pin on Pinterest to pages on this website and the cookie has not yet expired, the tag records certain user actions predefined by us and can track them (e.g. completed transactions, leads, searches on the website, calls to product pages). When such an action is performed, your browser sends an HTTP request from the cookie to the Pinterest server via the Pinterest tag, with which certain information about the action (including type of action, time, browser type of the end device) is transmitted. Through this transmission, Pinterest can create statistics about the usage behavior on our website after forwarding from a Pinterest Pin, which serve us to optimize our offer. If personal user data is processed in the process, this is done pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical evaluation of the success of product ads on Pinterest and the purchasing behavior of users and thus serves to optimize our online offer. However, we do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking, you can object to this by deactivating the Pinterest tag conversion tracking cookie via your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. You can obtain further information about Pinterest's data protection policy at the following Internet address: https://policy.pinterest.com/de/privacy-policy To the extent legally required, we have obtained your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO for the processing of your data as described above. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please follow the option described above to make an objection.

USE OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (known from here on as Google). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, in other words text files that are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information the cookie generates about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address is first abridged by Google while still within member states of the European Union or in other Contracting States to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and abridged there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google uses this information to evaluate the use of the website, to create reports on website activity and to perform further services related to website use and internet use for the website operator. The IP address transferred from your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not linked to other data from Google.

The purposes of data processing lie in the evaluation of the use of the website, and in the creation of reports on activities on the website. Based on the use of the website and internet, additional related services are then to be performed. The processing is based on the legitimate interest of the website operator.

You can prevent cookies from being stored by using the appropriate setting in your browser software; please be aware, however, that you may then not be able to use all the website's functions in full. You can also prevent the transfer of data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google, and the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin behind the following link: Browser Add-On to Deactivate Google Analytics.

In addition, or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent Google Analytics tracking on our pages by clicking on this link. This installs an opt-out cookie on your device. The cookie prevents future data collection by Google Analytics for this website and this browser, for as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

USE OF GOOGLE MAPS

This website uses Google Maps API to display geographical information visually. During the use of Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data on use of the map functions by website visitors. For more information about Google data processing, see the Google Privacy Policy. There, in the Data Protection Center, you can also change your personal data protection settings.

Comprehensive guides to managing your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.

EMBEDDED YOUTUBE VIDEOS

On some pages of our websites we embed YouTube videos. The operator of the relevant plugin is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. If you visit a page with a YouTube plugin, a connection is made to the YouTube servers. This informs YouTube about which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can connect your surfing behaviour with you personally. You can avoid this by first logging out of your YouTube account.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider sets cookies that collect information about user behaviour.

If you have deactivated the setting of cookies for the Google Ad programme, then you will not encounter any such cookies when watching YouTube videos. But YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent that, you must block the setting of cookies in your browser.

For further information on data protection at YouTube, see the provider’s privacy policy.

GOOGLE ADWORDS

Our website uses Google conversion tracking. If you came to our website via an advertisement placed by Google, Google Adwords sets a cookie on your computer. The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an advertisement placed by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and do not enable personal identification. If the user visits particular pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can see that the user clicked on the advertisement and was forwarded to that page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Therefore cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using conversion cookies serves to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have decided to use conversion tracking. Customers are informed of the total number of users who clicked on their advertisement and were forwarded to a page that has a conversion tracking tag. However, they receive no information with which they would be able to identify users personally.

If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can refuse to allow the setting of the cookie required for this process – for example there is a browser setting that deactivates the automatic setting of cookies in general, or you can set your browser in such a way that it blocks cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com”.

Please note that if you do not want measurement data to be recorded, then you must not delete the opt-out cookies. If you have deleted all cookies in your browser, you have to add the relevant opt-out cookie again.

USE OF GOOGLE REMARKETING

This website uses the Google Inc. Remarketing function. The function serves to display interest-related advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. In the website visitor’s browser, a cookie is stored that makes it possible to recognise the visitor when they click on websites that belong to the Google advertising network. On these pages, the user can be shown advertisements relating to content that the user has previously called up on websites that use the Google Remarketing function.

According to Google, it does collect any personal data during this procedure. However, if you do not want the Google Remarketing function, you can deactivate it globally by making the relevant settings here. Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies for interest-related advertising via the Network Advertising Initiative, by following the instructions here.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to adjust this privacy policy so that it is always in accordance with the current statutory requirements, or to reflect changes to our services in the privacy policy, for example when we introduce new services. The new privacy policy will then apply as of your next visit.
